If you haven't heard about Cabela's new hunting game, Dangerous Hunts 2011, then you might view the name and just assume it's a big game hunting simulator of some kind. Everyone might have seen the variety of hunting game in the past, the type where you choose your hunting gun, decide on some camouflage, and take a lot of time attempting to see the distinction among deer stool and a pile of dirt. But somewhere among shooting at a wild couger in awesome slow motion and fighting back vicious wild wolves who have glowing red demon eyes, you'll know that belief doesn't quite pertain to this particular game.
This version of Dangerous Hunts 2011 is better described as a survival type game first of all and a hunting game 2nd. The game puts you in the shoes of a hunter that goes by the name of Cole whose trek has him going across an assortment of locales spread across America and Canda and Africa to handle wild animals that have have been possessed by demonic forces. In one level we were shown Cole emerging from an avalanche in the middle of night, making his way across the snowy trees and fending off attacking animals attempting to eat him while he deals with other dangers, such as unseen game traps and a river of cracked ice.
Like with older games in the series, you will play Dangerous Hunts 2011 using a special firearm controller that has an adjustable scope and stock, in addition to normal controllers to control the players movement so that the player don't have to play on rails. The red telescopic sight is nice, and entertaining to operate. It can be actually kinda hard to locate the target through it. In order to make use of it, you must press the button labled A and it makes the screen only viewable through the lens. Sometimes, it is hard to see what you are shooting at, making the game a little frustrating. The brand new gun controller comes with a feature called Hunter Vision.
The Hunter Vision feature allows you to see objects that are hidden by momentarily making the game screen a fairly garbled assortment of red hued colors that can be deciphered by watching through the scope of the weapon like a night vision scope. For those people that had the old gun where the trigger assembly was in the front, this gun is 100% better. The trigger assembly is now in the rear, and the front has a pump reload. In addition, all of the controls are fullycustomizable (not like the earlier version). The gun is adjustable so even heavy people are able to retain the stock of the gun in their shoulder while aiming through the scope, making for a realistic experience.
In addition to the previously mentioned story mode, Dangerous Hunts 2011 will come with a number of different modes, along with multiplayer options, like as the Shooting Gallery like other hunting games. Also, Cabela's Dangerous Hunts overall is extremely tough to play. I really enjoyed playing the game and i also like to play hunting games online.
